AIMS OF THE PARTNERSHIP

The principal aim of the Alcohol and Drug Partnership (ADP) is to co-ordinate and express the views of service providers, service users and those in need of services in relation to substance misuse. The key objectives are: to raise the awareness of substance misuse issues and to change public attitude towards substance misuse; to continue to support a corporate approach by the key service agencies, involving the community, to reduce the problems associated with substance misuse; to target young people in an effort to reverse the trends in substance misuse within this group; to develop an effective preventative strategy for the people of Clackmannanshire.

MEETINGS OF THE ADP

The ADP meets every two months either at Lime Tree House and Greenfield, Alloa. 

SUBSTANCE DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

The role of SDW is to
• Work with local agencies and partners (stat and non-stat) to develop a partnership, networking, and services for all people all ages affected by substance misuse;
• To be the main local contact point for everyone to the FVADP and local ADP;
• Help with developing new and existing services, utilising all funding sources, making people aware;
• Help track services which are available, offer support,  and guidance;
• Give direction and cascade info from and to FVADP;
• Seek out gaps in services, identify what is needed;
• Implement National drugs & alcohol strategy locally
